In 1988 I was certified by the late Dr. Marcel Vogel to cut his crystals. A truly amazing man which I count myself so fortunate to have met and work for over four years until his passing.

I created my own crystal cutting shop and continued Marcel Vogels work through the company who purchased the licence for Dr. Vogel's crystals: Lifestream Associates.

Since then my life has changed in so many ways, but the crystals have always been with me. I am lucky to be able to balance my love for the mineral kingdom with that of the animal kingdom.

The best part of my life is Nancy. I am so lucky to have found a person that I can share this crazy wonderful life with.

Between the two of us, we lead quite unconventional "professional" lives.    Ever heard of camel's milk?  Nancy and I live on our 34 acre, Oasis Camel Dairy , the first Camel Dairy in the United States, in Ramona California where we care for twenty camels and teach the mothers to allow us to milk them while they also raise their own babies.  Can you make a living milking camels you ask?  Well, not yet, but we support the Camel Dairy by traveling to county fairs with our one-of-a-kind sports spectacular: The Wild West Turkey Stampede.  That along with Nancy's Performing Bird Show plus a ranch full of babydoll sheep, toucans, dogs, cats and even an ancient pot-bellied pig named Byron make for a pretty lively adventure!

So what does all that have to do with cutting crystals?  Well, nothing... and everything!  My life is about surrounding myself with positive energy and possibilities.  The balance between work and play, difficulty and triumph, peace and conflict... it's all just part of a wonderous life.  I bring that energy to my crystal cutting and feel that my eclectic, sometimes slightly unpredictable journey has only enhanced my work with crystals.
