The process of cutting crystals is one that has been developed for thousands of years.
In the old days crystals were ground using sand stone that was found in nature. Today we mostly use hard materials such as Corundum and Diamonds to facet the raw material into the finished gem.
Our choice for grinding media is diamond because of its hardness.

The cutting process is composed of seven stages.

1.Sawing the material by hand into the rough form.

2. Rough shaping on a 40 grit water cooled diamond plated surface.

The crystal is cut using the hands only, there are no machines that hold the crystal in place to attain a specific angle of cutting. It is said that in this lengthy process in which the artist focuses his attention continually on the crystal the crystal in imbued with the artists prana. His intention becomes part of the final product.
